Privacy policy
This policy explains what we collect when you shop with NV Jewellers, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It applies to this website and to orders placed over the phone or on WhatsApp.
Who we are
NV Jewellers, Shop No. 16, Property No. 90, Chatta Ali Raza, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh 250002, India. Phone and WhatsApp: +91 97609 44321. We decide how your information is used, and we are responsible for looking after it.
What we collect
- When you order: your name, delivery address, phone number, email address, and what you bought.
- When you pay: payment is handled by our payment provider. Card and UPI details go to them, not to us. We see only whether the payment succeeded and the last few digits of the card.
- When you create an account: your name, email address, phone number, saved addresses, and order history.
- When you message us: whatever you send us on WhatsApp, by phone, or through the contact form.
- When you browse: your IP address, browser and device, the pages you visit, and what you add to the cart. This comes from cookies and similar technology.
Why we use it
- To take, pack, and deliver your order, and to tell you where it is
- To answer your questions and handle returns, refunds, and buyback requests
- To keep your account and order history
- To prevent fraud and to keep the site working properly
- To send offers and new arrivals, where you have asked for them
- To meet our obligations under Indian tax and consumer law
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Who we share it with
- Shopify, which runs this website and stores our order data
- Payment providers, to take payment securely
- Courier companies, to deliver your order — they get your name, address, and phone number
- Analytics providers, to understand how the site is used
- Authorities, where the law requires it
Some of these providers hold data on servers outside India. They are required to protect it to the same standard set out here.
Cookies
Cookies keep your cart filled while you shop, keep you signed in, and tell us which pages are used. You can block or delete them in your browser settings, but parts of the site — the cart in particular — will stop working properly if you do.
Marketing
We send offers only to people who have asked for them. Every message carries a way to stop. You can also tell us on WhatsApp or by phone and we will remove you. Messages about an order you have placed are not marketing, and will continue.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as Indian tax and accounting law requires, which is normally eight years. Account details are kept until you ask us to close the account. Enquiries are kept for up to two years.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what information we hold about you
- Correct anything that is wrong
- Delete your information, where we are not required to keep it
- Stop sending you marketing
Write or call us on the details below. We will reply within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm who you are before we act, so that nobody else can make the request in your name.
Keeping it safe
This site runs over an encrypted connection, and payments are handled by providers who meet the card industry's security standards. No system is perfect, but if a breach ever puts your information at risk, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
Children
This site is not meant for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us their details, tell us and we will delete them.
Changes
We may update this policy. The version on this page is the one in force. Where a change matters to you, we will say so on the site.
